Pork Recipes

With all pork products, make sure to be extra careful in the preparation and cooking of pork products. Make sure to rinse under running water ALL of your pork products, and make sure nothing is past its' expiration date.

 

BBQ Pork Ribs

Preparation Time 1 1/2 hours

Difficulty level: 3

Ingredients:

1 Pound Pork Spareribs

1 Bottle Jackalope River "Whiskey BBQ Sauce"

1 Can / Bottle of your favorite beer

Directions:

Oven

Preheat oven to 350 degrees.

Place ribs into a large enough pot, so that when you add the beer and enough to cover the top of the ribs while they boil. Boil for 20 minutes. Place ribs on baking dish. Bake for 20 minutes Brush ribs with sauce ad bake for 20 more minutes. Turn ribs over and brush with sauce. Cook another 20 minutes. Serve warm. Add more sauce if desired.

Yield: 2 servings

 

Hot & Spicy BBQ Pork Ribs

Preparation Time 1 1/2 hours

Difficulty Level: 5

Ingredients:

1 Pound Pork Spareribs

1 Bottle Jackalope River "Whiskey BBQ Sauce"

2 Tablespoons of your favorite Jackalope River "Hot Sauce"

1 Teaspoon Onion Powder

2 Tablespoons Jalapeno Peppers, Chopped or Chopped Green Chiles

2 Teaspoons Cayenne Pepper

Directions:

Oven

Preheat oven to 350 degrees.

Place ribs into a large enough pot, so that when you add the beer and enough to cover the top of the ribs while they boil. Boil for 20 minutes. Combine BBQ Sauce, cayenne pepper, hot sauce, onion powder, and peppers into a medium size mixing bowl. Mix well.  Place ribs on baking dish. Bake for 20 minutes. Brush ribs with sauce and bake for 20 more minutes. Turn ribs over and brush with sauce. Cook another 20 minutes. Serve warm. Add more sauce if desired.

Yield: 2 servings

 

Cajun Seasoned Pork Chops

Preparation Time: 1 ½ hours

Difficulty Level: 7

Ingredients:

4 (1 ½ inch think) pork chops

2 Cups Cajun Rice (see Side Orders)

1 Egg, beaten

1 Cup flour

1 Teaspoon cayenne pepper, or Jackalope River “Cajun Cayenne Hot Sauce”

1 Teaspoon onion powder

½ Teaspoon black powder

½ Teaspoon sage

½ Teaspoon dried thyme leaves

Directions:

Preheat oven to 400 degrees. Spray a baking sheet with no-stick cooking spray. Prepare pork chops by cutting in horizontal to the bone. Stuff each with ½ cup Cajun Rice. Place egg in a medium-size shallow dish. Combine flour, cayenne pepper, onion powder, black pepper, sage, and thyme into a large shallow dish. Mix well. Dip pork chops into egg mixture and then the flour mixture. Place on baking sheet. Bake 1 hour, or until pork chops are thoroughly cooked.

Yield: 4 servings
